Cut the Sugar, Save the Heart

Sugar’s sneaky—too much inflames your arteries, a heart no-no. The AHA caps it at 6 tsp (25g) daily for women, 9 tsp (36g) for men. Ditch soda (one can’s 10 tsp!) for water or herbal tea. Check labels—yogurt or sauces hide it. Fruit’s fine—its fiber slows absorption—but skip juice. Studies link high sugar to 38% more heart risk; cutting it eases blood pressure and triglycerides. Try cinnamon on oats for sweetness without the spike. Peter Attia warns sugar ages you faster—fight back with savory swaps. Less sugar, more life—your heart’s tasting victory!
