Alcohol: Less is More

Booze and hearts don’t always mix. The CDC says excess—over 1 drink daily (a glass of wine, pint of beer)—spikes BP, messes rhythms, and piles on calories, upping heart risk. Cut back: one daily max, or better, a few dry days weekly. Studies show light drinking might help some, but beyond that, it’s trouble—15% higher risk per extra drink. Swap cocktails for mocktails (fizzy water, lime)—tastes good, no harm. Exercise helps cravings fade; a walk beats a pint. Your heart’s happier sipping less—cheers to that!
