Privacy Notice
How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Last updated: [04/06/2026] · Version 1.0
In plain English
We collect health and activity information so your coach can design and safely supervise your exercise programme. We only collect what we need, we keep it secure, we never sell it, and you can ask to see or delete it at any time.
Who we are
ATBGO ("we", "us") provides online exercise and cardiac-rehabilitation coaching. For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the data controller for the information described here.
Contact for any privacy question or request: [atbgo2018@gmail.com].
What information we collect
Depending on your programme, we may collect:
-
About you: your name and age.
-
Health information (special-category data): medical conditions you tell us about (for example cardiac conditions, diabetes, respiratory conditions, arthritis), relevant details such as ejection fraction, whether you carry GTN medication, heart-rate medications, injuries or physical limitations, and any known issues your coach records on a body map.
-
Activity & wellbeing data you log: exercises completed, sets and weights, session duration, perceived exertion (RPE), and optional measurements you choose to enter — weight, steps, blood pressure, resting/heart rate, waist measurement and BMI.
-
Symptoms & care events you log: any symptoms you record, and optional notes about appointments (GP, physio, hospital, medication changes) if you choose to add them.
You don't have to enter the optional measurements, symptoms or care notes — they're there to help you and your coach track progress, but they're your choice.
Why we collect it, and our legal basis
We use your information to design your exercise programme, supervise it safely, track your progress, and adapt it to your needs.
Because health information is sensitive ("special-category data"), the law requires a specific legal basis. We rely on:
-
Your explicit consent — you agree to us collecting and using your health and activity information for your coaching, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
If you withdraw consent, we'll stop using your information and delete it on request (see "Your rights" below). Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
Who can see your information
-
Your coach — to design and supervise your programme.
-
Our secure hosting provider (Supabase) — which stores the data securely on our behalf as a "data processor". They process data only on our instructions.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else, except where we are legally required to.
How we keep it secure
-
Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled servers, encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
-
Access to your programme is protected by a private access code.
-
Only your coach can view your full health profile.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you are an active client, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return or for our legitimate record-keeping. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time. "We delete data within 12 months after a client becomes inactive".
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
-
Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
-
Ask us to correct anything that's wrong;
-
Ask us to delete your information ("right to erasure");
-
Withdraw your consent at any time;
-
Object to or restrict how we use your information;
-
Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
To exercise any of these, just contact us at atbgo2018@gmail.com. We'll respond within one month.
Children
Our service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
