Cardiac rehabilitation is not a one stop shop of only exercise, it involves a well rounded management of conditions including exercise as well as other key areas such as medical management, good dietary habits, weight management, stress management among other things. These exercise programs are here to help hit the "inactivity" risk factor - something within our control that can have huge benefits. Working to moderate exertion including a warm-up and cool-down these videos help you work towards that sometimes elusive 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week. Walking, cycling, swimming, gardening etc are all excellent modes of exercise that should be encouraged. Aside from aerobic circuits, some resistance exercises throughout the week go a long way to helping us remain physically and mentally well. If you are currently unable to complete these exercises, they're too hard, some seated circuits will be available via the site too as well as shorter circuits. Just some muscular strength endurance work alone is better than nothing!
